This is an old revision of the document!
The purpose of this Wiki is to help customers analyze and troubleshoot issues with their MAYAH products themselves. If your problem is not answered in our Wiki, please create a new inquiry in our free Mantis ticket system here: http://support.mayah.com
The Wiki is separated into the following chapters:
Following on this page are some other general informations that relate to a variety of our devices and associated topics.
The Communications Reference Manual details the remote command language of various MAYAH devices, including the meaning of status messages and replies from the device. You can download it here: Communications Reference Manual
For our German-speaking customers, we have an information round up about our codecs C11 and Sporty. For further information, please check the following website: German Speaker Information
Updates from version 18.104.22.168 (or earlier) to version 22.214.171.124 (or later) require an additional update step to versions between 126.96.36.199 or 188.8.131.52. Example: If you have version 184.108.40.206 and want to update to version 220.127.116.11, you have to first update to version 18.104.22.168 (available in the corresponding http://downloads.mayah.com/ReleaseCandidate/ folder).
The following method should only be used with C11xx, Sporty or FMII devices if the device cannot be started or updated any more. Note that older devices do not support this method.
It is possible to reinitialize the whole device, including a factory reset and deleting all keycodes(!). To do this, follow these steps:
Prerequisite: Ensure that the MAYAH audio codec device is turned off.
After the whole reinitialization has finished please install the Maintenance Release version (see below)!
Please open a support ticket if new keycodes are required after this procedure.
Note that some functions of the WebRemote are dependent on a web page refresh, please give the WebRemote a time for refresh after for example creating a new codec profile or choosing new codec settings and similar operations.
Release Candidate versions improve the operation of the device or provide additional functionality. These firmware downloads are available here: http://downloads.mayah.com/ReleaseCandidate/
Maintenance Release versions will be available on http://www.mayah.com/downloads/.

You can use a USB flash drive to get a text file of the device’s current IP and network settings. This allows you to determine the IP configuration of the device. To do this, follow these steps:
The executed instructions are logged to the file “mayah-command scripts.txt.log” on the USB flash drive.
If this file is empty, the following commands are executed implicitly:
If you want to assign a fixed IP address, simply replace the question marks with the corresponding addresses and insert the USB flash drive again and wait for the process to finish.
You can also check for only specific parts of the network configuration by not leaving the original text file empty. Instead copy any items from the above list (e.g. “sys_serial ?”) of queries into the text file. In that case the final log will only check for those queries specifically.
